Farrah Fisher is a self-taught acrylic painter born and raised in South Florida, currently residing in New York City. Farrah discovered her passion for painting during her freshman year where she attended high school in western Massachusetts. Her first inspirations came from pin-up girls and the female figure. Farrah currently teaches painting classes and is the resident artist at ASH Staging in NYC.
Among curating her own body-art shows in Florida, Farrah has also displayed her art at multiple group gallery shows across Florida, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Farrah has also brought her art to historical locations like The Brooklyn Museum and The Players Club in Gramercy.
Currently, Farrah is investigating concepts of duality, balance, color therapy, and intuitive exploration in her work.
Artist Statement
My practice delves into the ritual and intimacy of tea-drinking while engaging in intuitive creation. By exploring unconventional shapes and imbuing them with a sense of completeness and profundity, I challenge the notions of perfectionism and spatial constraints. Incorporating thought-provoking and surreal elements, I aim to stimulate contemplation and allow the imagination to roam. The utilization of acrylic paint, oil pastels, and pencil enables these artworks to materialize cohesively in a timeline that resonates with my intuitive instincts. Noteworthy influences on my work include the exceptional artistry of Peter Driben, Hilma Klint, Perle Fine, and Mary Abbott.

“My mission is to deliberately manifest the greatest parts of my imagination… and inspire others along the way to do the same.”
